Declaration of Use & Development IGOS has been made on June 30, 2004 and the support of five (5), namely the Ministry of Research and Technology Minister, Minister of Communication and Information, Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Minister of State Utilizing apparatuses, and the Minister of National Education. Indonesia's policy program Go Open Source (IGOS) aims to improve acceleration Utilizing Open Source Software (OSS) and efforts to strengthen the infrastructure of Information and Communication Technology (TIK). To the community, especially TIK users and developers with the OSS, the government, professional people and business to establish centers associated with the OSS in the city of Bandung with the name: IGOS Center in Bandung.



With the Vision: Becoming a provider of "One Stop Service" for the products and services based on technology of Open Source Software (OSS). With the target for the improvement of the competitiveness of the nation with a systemic approach to utilizing OPEN Innovation (OI).

The Mission Center IGOS Bandung is:
- Helping customers achieve its objectives (personal & business) to provide solutions based OSS technology that can increase productivity, effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
- Encourage the implementation of ethical behavior and business professionals are on.
- Building the capacity of technological innovation that OSS development that can improve national competitiveness.
- Berpartisisipasi realize the goal of the global community in the Millennium Development Goal.

IGOS Center in Bandung, managed by the Foundation in the field of the Open Innovation activities on the current focus in the Provision of Products & Services technology based Open Source Software (OSS). IGOS Center of Bandung Initiatives began the program from the Office of the State Minister of Research & Technology, which dimotori by the cooperation: the Bandung Institute of Technology [Eko Budi Mursito et al], ZamrudTechnology [Save Dwi Nuryanto et al], Penajati [Sofwandi Noor et al], and Linux Club Bandung [Vishnu A et al].
