Safari 4 Performance Comparison with Other Browsers

The latest version of Google Chrome still leads the performance of JavaScript in various performance benchmark conducted WebWare, but the Safari 4 beta released yesterday a new browser is the first that could rival Google in the benchmark design their own.


JavaScript is a programming language that not only strengthen the web site that is not the amount, but also many web based applications like Google Docs. WebWare compare the performance of various browsers JavaScript world through two popular types of benchmark, the SunSpider benchmark, which is the official project WebKit and V8 benchmark suite from Google is more focused on doing some type of computing and non-specific applications of the world actually.

In short: the latest version of Chrome is still winning in the second test. Firefox was ranked second on the SunSpider test, while Safari was ranked second in the V8 benchmark. Keep in mind that Chrome is available in three versions, namely stable, beta and developer preview. Chrome version used in this test is a developer preview version (2.0.164.0) which become important components in the new V8 engine.
